Accounting software
There are paper systems and software packages notably Sage and Quickbooks which enable you to do your book keeping and day to day accounts as often as you like. At Discountants, we can read your Sage or Quickbooks data which speeds up year end processing tremendously and keeps charges low.
Our own DO software is evolving in its own right to be able to format and print invoices and keep ledgers. As it emails information to our own computers as you use it, it means that your accounts data will be already here ready to prepare your year end accounts without transferring any information from other products. The other advantage of DO is that because data is not held on PC's at your premises, you have no worries about back-up, fire, hardware breakdown, software crashes, upgrading or theft of your sensitive business information. Even some protection against employee sabotage exists. One big advantage of DO is that it is free to our clients, there are no purchase costs and no annual maintenance charges.
Training
If you are new to accounts software, we can train you or your staff at your premises or at our offices. It is often best to train away from the workplace, free from interruption or distraction and where there is no chance that inexperienced staff can damage live data! We would always aim to teach on a one to one basis or in very small groups where there was plenty of opportunity for hands on practice before anybody gets let loose on your live accounts.
