How do we do this magic trick?

Partly, its about hourly rates. What yours? A chartered accountant (ICA member) might charge £100 an hour, maybe £200? Who knows? It's unlikely he'll tell you! However, most of your year raw accounts data will be process 'back-office' by AAT or CIMA qualified staff so what we are doing is taking away the expensive front man from the band! An AAT member will have undertaken a three year study course and in our case will have years of practical experience 'on the job' (!)  Much in the same way the a chartered accountant will have undertaken a three year degree course and spent much further effort studying and achieving chartered status. You as a client though are not running a pension fund for a listed company on the stock exchange or taking over a foreign conglomerate, so we simply match the expertise with the need.

The other thing which is on our agenda is growth. It is our intention to spread low cost, high quality accounting services out across the country until we have nationwide offices. Clearly, we are only going to be able to do this if our service is of the highest standard, and competitively priced.  After all, there is plenty of choice out there and we know that the best way to grow is through personal recommendation. We are therefore dedicated to ensuring that Discountants clients are satisfied clients happy to recommend us to their friends and business associates.

Part of this is involves Kate, our accountant spending at least 10% of her time studying and keeping up to date with the latest developments in taxation and accounting and researching the best ideas which might help our clients run more efficient, profitable businesses, whilst reducing their tax bills to a (legal!) minimum.
